Is rhaphidophora tetrasperma a monstera?

Tetrasperma is decidedly NOT a plant with low light conditions — it grows slowly and produces small foliage when placed in a location with too little light. This aroid has often been confused with other species and families, as evidenced by some of the above points. Tetrasperma wilts a little at temperatures above 95, and it immediately gets better when I bring it indoors for a while or at night when temperatures drop a bit. Planting your tetrasperm in light, well-drained soil makes it easier for airflow and drainage.

Tetrasperma can be found here on the Exotic Rainforest site, which is one of my favorite reputable aroid sources.

Is Rhaphidophora tetrasperma a monstera?

At first glance, tetrasperma has a remarkable resemblance to a monstera deliciosa and is often mistakenly referred to as a species of philodendron. While you have success growing the tetrasperm in this way, it is better to mix your own medium for growing these plants. However, this plant is neither a monstera nor a philodendron, although they all belong to the same family Araceae (plants in this family are often called aroids).

How fast does Rhaphidophora tetrasperma grow?

The growth rate and leaf color of Tetrasperma Mini Monstera vary widely depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature, and other factors. If you start right in the mix, keep the cutting alive and wait at least a month. Then pull it lightly to see if there is any resistance.

Is Rhaphidophora tetrasperma easy to care for?

Depending on the pot size, the type of soil it grows in, and the area around your home, it may need to be watered more or less frequently than mine. Tetrasperma can be found here on the Exotic Rainforest site, which is one of my favorite reputable aroid sources. While you have success growing the tetrasperm in this way, it is better to mix your own medium for growing these plants.
