How do you plant apios americana?

Diploid plants, which are normally found in the warmer, southernmost parts of their natural range, produce seed pods. In ideal growing conditions with improved varieties of American peanuts, you can get up to 7 pounds of tubers per plant at the end of your second growing season. Apios americana, also known colloquially as Indian peanut, is found in native diets from Canada to the Gulf Coast. The arguments for American peanuts as a vital culture are made even clearer because of their potential as a medicinal plant.

This makes it easier to harvest their tasty little tubers and allows you to enjoy the stunning blooms without having to worry about them choking your tomatoes.
